The Best Black Bean Beef Chili Recipe

You will find numerous great recipes for different dishes. Some of these dishes can be easily prepared while others require more time and effort. So, for preparing this lovely dish you will need two onions, finely chopped, approximately four garlic cloves, depending on your taste, chopped or minced, four nice slices of smoked bacon, one pound of ground beef, one can of black beans and twice as much of peeled, crushed plum tomatoes, one teaspoon of chili powder, cumin, unsweetened cocoa and dry oregano, salt and pepper, olive oil, one tablespoon of sweet paprika powder and a cup of good beef broth.

First, put some of your olive oil in some large pan and fry bacon slices with garlic for a few seconds, and then remove them from the pan. Add remaining olive oil and chopped onions and fry for a while, until yellow and soft. Add peppers and salt and continue cooking for a few minutes, and then add ground meat. After browned, add other ingredients and continue cooking over low heat.

After a while, add spices and continue cooking on lowered heat for 20 minutes and your delicious meal is done. You can serve it in tortillas, on toasted bread, with various sliced vegetables or in a bowl, covered with sour cream and grated cheese, it's up to you.Green salad goes great with this dish, by the way.

Preparing the same dish in your slow cooker requires more time, but it tastes simply great this way. If you prepare larger quantity, you can put it into your freezer and serve whenever you feel like it. This recipe is equally simple, it just takes more time to cook. It is great for various gatherings and quite hot, but you probably expect it to be hot anyway.

For this tasty slow cooker chili you will need three to four onions, depending on their size, two larger carrots, maybe six or seven garlic cloves, six slices of good smoked bacon, two pounds of diced beef, one green and one red chopped sweet peppers, one whole can of good broth, olive oil, cumin, oregano and cocoa powder, unsweetened, one teaspoon each, one tablespoon smoked paprika and three teaspoons of chili powder, salt, pepper, two cans of black beans, three cans tomatoes and a spoon of good red wine.

First, you have to fry your onions on olive oil in some large pan. When yellow, add carrots, chopped peppers, salt and garlic. After that, you can add meat and bacon. When it is brown, add spices and broth, beans and tomatoes. Put everything into the slow cooker and let it simmer for another two hours or so. Everything should be soft and tender.

Here is a little additional dish you can make using the leftovers. Put some olive oil in a pan, add chili, cover with canned crushed tomatoes, sour cream and grated hard cheese. Bake in preheated oven for up to forty minutes, and it is done. Serve with mash potato, salad or various vegetables and enjoy.
