The nature of the scars depend on the method that was used. Some patients might experience lumpy scars which need to be treated to disappear.

There should be a period when one stays away from work after treatment. The area with incisions should be well taken of to avoid any infections. There should not be any strenuous physical activities during the recovery period. This can last for some six months. After full recovery, prescribed lotions are used to speed up lightening process.
