For individuals whom are not sure a program qualifies one to apply for the OHYA Teacher Directory, verification can be completed by contacting the OHYA by email. While this is the case, there may be a need to complete an additional bridge program before the teacher can be listed.

Individuals seeking approval to teach a training class for teachers have to meet specific standards, file an application and be listed in the directory once approved. These standards include mindfully connecting with students as individuals and part of a group, merging personality with training methods, providing instructions which relate to the trainee, delivering instruction in a concise and clear manner and maintaining a personal practice outside the classroom.
